This program, a cooperative effort between Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Grady Memorial Hospital Foundation, Access Health Care (a Grady County Free Health Clinic) and Grady Memorial Hospital, will specifically address the needs of individuals not likely to seek a mammography exam on their own. All women who frequent Access Health Care will be counseled on the importance of their individual role in maintaining breast health, understanding breast health education, and the critical importance of age specific screening and treatment. This education, screening, and communication will be facilitated through patient contact at Access, referral for free mammography screening, women’s health forums, breast self exam classes and a program honoring survivors at Grady Memorial Hospital.
